About this tool
How it works
What it does
Shows the current time in both places and how many hours and minutes one is ahead of the other.
On a date you choose it shows the difference that day, which changes when only one of the two places is on summer time, and when each place next changes its clocks.
A table converts the hours of the day from one place to the other.
How it calculates
Both times are read from the IANA time zone database through your browser, for the exact moment asked about: now, or midday in the first place on the date you choose. The difference is the second place's offset from UTC minus the first place's.
The next clock changes are found by checking each place's offset day by day for the coming year, then narrowing each change down to the minute.
What it cannot know
Governments sometimes change time zone rules at short notice; the answer is only as current as the time zone database in your browser.
Each place takes the time zone of the city its airport serves. In the few places that keep a local time different from the official one, check that the zone shown is the one you mean.
